Небольшое замечание относительно терминологии. Некоторые люди утверждают, что термин «палеоискусство» лучше всего стоит применять по отношению к работам, созданным в доисторические времена, и потому художественное творчество, изображающее доисторические времена и доисторических существ, из-за этого требует иного названия. Однако, единственное слово, имеющееся пока на замену, «палеонтография», ещё не в ходу.
